If a Gaboon Viper is frozen, will it thaw out alive?

Someone here in Ohio had a climate controlled building and houses venomous snakes. This guy had a gaboon Viper and it "came up missing" after a guy left his residence. I don't believe it was ever found, so I have wondered this for a while now. We have pretty humid summers here, so if it would be alive after a winter here, it would surely thrive during the summer. I know many poisonous critters will freeze and thaw out alive, wondering if a Gaboon would too?
